THIS DOC ALWAYS CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
What's NEW in version 2.1?
--------------------------
-> Fixed color display problems that some WINDOWS based Sysop's were having.
Callers who are ANSI compatible will no be FORCED into color mode.
UPGRADING FROM v2.0 to v2.1:
---------------------------
-> Run FLREQV21.EXE in a TEMP directory. Delete the FILEREQ.CFG and UMN.DAT
files that came with the archive. Move the rest of the archive into the
directory that you are running REQUEST-A-FILE from, overwriting ALL files. That's it!
-> Any other versions upgrading see next upgrade!
What's NEW in version 2.0?
--------------------------
-> There have been quite a few changes in v2.0 from v1.1! Many cosmetic
changes have been down. It's my feeling that the overall look of the door
is much better now. That awful opening ANSI screen has been replaced.
Can't believe I ever liked that old one...yuck!
-> The way that REQUEST-A-FILE reads all of the data files has been revamped
and should be smoother and quicker now.
-> Removed the Sysop deleting of requests online. This has been replaced by
the RAFMAINT.EXE program. Now the Sysop can set the number of days XX that
he/she wants to keep requests and user mail for and the maintenance
program will take care of the deleting automatically.
-> That's it.....That's enough isn't it?
UPGRADING FROM any version to v2.0:
----------------------------------
SORRY....I hate to say it, but if you are upgrading from a previous version
of REQUEST-A-FILE, you will have to RE-INSTALL the door. Just delete
everything in your REQUEST-A-FILE directory now and move all of the contents
of this archive to there. (Of course, make sure if you have registered
REQUEST-A-FILE, that you do not delete your .KEY file!) Be sure to run
(unarchive) the self-extracting FLREQV20.EXE included here. Run the included
INSTFILE.EXE. This is an easy setup program for installing REQUEST-A-FILE.
You should also read FILEREQ.DOC that is included in the main archive for
further installation instructions and the way some new things operate!
That's it....thanks for reading this...now go read FILEREQ.DOC...
